Three Definite Recommendations

There are three definite recommendations when using postcards for marketing.

First,  I never suggest using expensive templates for anything but the most affordable promotions for my customers.Otherwise you may find that the template cost is a much larger percentage of the overall campaign expenses.

Second, don't go for shine unless you are printing in four colors. Chances are your shiny postcards will be delivered with the equivalent of an 18 wheeler tractor trailer skid mark across the billboard part, this will lead to difficulty telling what the address part will look like.  The document template I recommend is a crisp, bright-white 80 lb sheets and pillowcases template.

Third, don't go for the smallest dimension card.  The minimum dimension card doesn't yell out for attention like a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" card does, which is the dimension I suggest.  The biggest dimension you can email without running into additional expense (over 20¢) is 4-1/4" x 6".  The biggest postcard dimension you can email for first class letter delivery of  34¢ is an 8-1/2" x 11" sheet.

I do hope that these three recommendations do help you with you postcard marketing.
